About
Andre Guimond Architects has designed a diverse portfolio of projects that include the adaptive reuse of a landmarked building in Portland, Maine, playground equipment in collaboration with Better Shelter and the IKEA Foundation to aid refugee communities, a collection of private residences, and a winning proposal for the new LaGuardia Airport in New York City. We engage in projects of all scales from furniture to master plans, in an open-ended exploration of program, context, form, and material. We are continually inspired by the overlapping currents of culture, by our clients, and the environment both natural and built. Our thinking is guided by empathy and a sensitivity to perception and experience, paired with careful analysis and close attention to detail. We are motivated by the simple desire to improve the places where we live, work and play, through thoughtful and innovative design.
